My name is Lara Goldie and I have been working as a Speech and Language Therapist for 12 years. I attended Brigham Young University in Utah for my undergraduate degree in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology. I then went on to study a Master's Degree in Communication Disorders.
Shortly after graduating I joined an ENT practice in Provo Utah where I worked closely alongside ENTs in treating all kinds of voice and swallowing disorders. I learned to perform rigid and flexible endoscopy and was trained at Pentax in advanced videostroboscopy exams. I have experience treating speech, language, and voice disorders in many settings; early intervention, hospitals, and schools. Since moving to Aberdeen in 2013 I have been working independently.
I am a certified member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists, the Health and Care Professions Council, and in addition I hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. I am delighted to begin work as an associate of SSTP specialising in the treatment of voice disorders.
